Low energy GU10's or megaman gu10 reflector

Right I have decided to replace any bulbs in house that are not the big standard low energy GU10's, R63 spots, GU5.3 (dont think I can replace them) to low energy bulbs

R63 I am going for Megaman bulbs http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MGR6311ES.html

However our daughters room (box room) she has 4 gu10's spots, and the room gets very hot, she has a habit of living in that room and leaving everything on, pc, lights, tv etc.

I am undecided whether to go for LED's (but heard they arent as powerful

LED

Or megaman reflector gu10's

Any advice would be appreciate as you can see it will cost us a lot more than normal bulbs but the long term we would save money

I just bought one megaman R63 spotlight and 4 megaman gu10 from edmundson electrical they are all over the country a little cheaper than the links I posted above

One tried the led gu10 as they had the megaman on display lighten and the led were very poor, only good for highlighting a pathway, picture etc

The R63 spotlight I found slightly blue light timge, despite having 3 bulbs and only one used in the bathroom we find that we may need two r63 rather than the one which is a direct replacement. Its not a bad light just not strong enough for shaving/applying makeup etc

I bought energy saving GU10's and they didn't last a year. A complete waste of money.
  • We put low energy 11W GU10's in our kitchen. For some reason they have a cooler, greener light than other low energy bulbs in the house. They are a good bit dimmer than the halogens but OK once warmed up.

After getting them, it occured to me it would have been cheaper to buy a new light fitting that took cheaper, normal energysaving bulbs!!!
