Are you eligible for the 'free boiler replacement' scheme?? If it was over 15 years old a new one will be so much more efficient and save you lots on your bills.. if that helps any?

I have a stalk of sprouts coming on Monday if you want to pop and get it? Probably a cabbage and a cauliflower going begging too xx but totally raid the reduced sections. :)

is a remould any cheaper or is that a remould? .. might last long enough for you to save for a new new one.

But that's your 3 things.. plain sailing from here on :)

Four week old car. Brand new? Under guarantee?

It's mild at the moment, don't need heating on. Local plumber best.

Yellow sticker shopping, 7pm, cheap veg.

Would a remould tyre be cheaper? We have gone down that route before when money was tight..It will be your spare after all.

Cant suggest anything regarding the heating.

Lidl or and Aldi are very good for veg and your poor ruined veg can go in the compost (or your bean trench) so not completely lost to you.

Sorry Floss, the spam post must have been removed by admin. It had gone before I logged on.

looked at the Free Boiler thingy but we didn't meet the criteria.

If we had no savings, no small private pension, then maybe......

I second that. British Gas are very quick to condemn boilers that can, in fact, be repaired.

I had a similar time recently - 3 expensive things going wrong all at once but luckily I was able to use my good status with my 'club' book to buy a new fridge freezer!!! Looked on it as a bonus in that its failure made me really sort out and eat up freezer contents!
Then had to go back into the overdraft I have struggled so hard to get out of this year. However, as a friend of mine pointed out, if I had not got out of the OD or not had savings then I would have been really up the creek without a paddle. At least you are in one piece and have found a financial 'way round'. It may hurt a bit - but keep on these boards - (my favourites are MM&M and NBI) and there will be plenty f friendly folk to get you back up on your feet again!
    Take care
