I have about five posters on ignore - and yes if someone else quotes them you can see it. but, as they must know by now they are on ignore and I don't respond to them in any way............they don't bother 'baiting' me now.

There do seem to be a small (but vocal!) minority of posters on that board who love to bait people and cause arguments.

This is suppose to be a bit of relaxation, a sort of hobby. Why do these people feel they have to insult others. If they don't like you why can't they just ignore you.

Exactly what I do now. It just acts as a reminder as to which posters are simply not worth bothering replying to. The list seems to be increasing, unfortunately.

I also believe ignoring someone means they cannot PM you. Having received quite an offensive PM from someone who comes over as a 'butter wouldn't melt' sort, I find this useful too.

Yes, some trouble-makers do seem to be untouchable. And many amiable posters I used to chat to are either no longer here or post only very rarely.

To be fair I do enjoy taking the pee out of people over there - they don't seem to like it though

The problem appears to be systematic reporting of a post in order to get someone into trouble, rather than somebody being offended by joking and banter.

I know, I only come on here for a 'chat' and to wile away some time, relax a bit, take my mind off things. I can't be doing with getting involved in other people's spats and agendas.

It's better not to name and shame on this thread (the named posters might come along and a fight will break out) but I see at least one long-standing forum-user over on that board has just been PPR'd.
