I like the look of this runner: http://www.modern-rugs.co.uk/page/product.cfm?id=12794
I was looking for a persian style runner and all/most of the ones I have seen are red & cream for some reason. Which is fine because I do like the look of it. But just not sure if it's going to hold up because it's for the hallway n the entrace of the house so people will come in with wet shoes.
Currently I have a red runner and seems to be OK. The fact that it's a low light area helps a bit too.
Any personal experiences with cream runners?

Yes: how they stand up to wear depends entirely on the sort of foot traffic they have to contend with. Treating with stain repellant helps but doesn't solve the problem of wet and muddy shoes!0
