Hello
First ever thread, sorry for anything I do wrong.
I have leftover curry sauce (no meat or anything else, just sauce). It went straight into the fridge 4 days ago after I bought it from a takeaway place. Is it safe to reheat and use today?
Thanks

I think 4 days old would be my limit, most people would tell u to chuck it before now. I hate throwing stuff out.0

doent the spices preserve it ,
maybe google it and let us know“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Bin it. Especially if it did have meat in it originally. You've no idea how old it was before you bought it.0

Not knowing whats the back of the shop kitchens of the takeaway was like, I would for safety sake bin it.
And this is from someone who would try anything a bit over date.
If it was a shop brought jar of sauce I might have chanced it.The more I live, the more I learn.

nope - no way, and this is from someone who had the misfortune to be suffering from Campylobacter food poisoning exactly a year ago, and no idea how I got it! I have a 24 hour rule for leftovers now. BUT, so as not to waste them - within those 24 hours I will freeze them, then defrost and heat through to 'Napalm'.0
