Thanks for your very helpful post Dennis & everyone who has replied to my thread. I don't think I'll be able to use Lloyd's switching facility, I tried tonight to switch over online but the Lloyd's form stated that I would have to "ensure sufficient funds" are in the account to repay the overdraft to my former bank. So obviously Lloyd's expect me to repay the other bank & I wish I could but it's not possible. I will contact the DWP & the housing benefit & gave them my new sort code & account number & do the same with the companies I use for household bills. I just hope once I'm set up on the DRO Lloyd's don't decide to close this new account as I have read online that people have had accounts closed once it's known they are on a DRO.0
