Sent the Prove it letter

I'm trying to sort my sons problem out as he's working away.

He's had a letter from Wescot saying he owes money for gas and electric for an address he used to live at but the dates don't coincide with when he lived there. We believe his former partner has directed the account to him via my address.

We emailed Wescot the 'prove it' letter, and they have replied today asking for dates and addresses of where he lived, date of birth, etc, which I am not willing to provide. I'm trying to find a template letter with no success to send to them, basically telling them they have the prove it letter and they need to take action on that.

Can anyone direct me to such a letter?

Thanks.
