There was some subsidence issues with the flat, which according to the estate agents, have been sorted.
Perhaps the surveyor did not share the Estate Agents confidence or noticed further possible repair requirements?0 -

There are already offers on the table for this particular flat. Estate agents told us to think about our best and final offer for tomorrow. At least 5 other people have placed offers.
I wouldn't waste a penny until I had proof that any subsidence issues had been resolved. I wasted money years ago on a survey on a house with subsidence which the EA knew about as previous buyer pulled out.
