Bonsai tree gift?

I've asked difficult to buy for Granparents what they want for xmas and they've said a bonsai tree. So good at least I know.

I can see them on amazon and ebay but I'm wary of getting it delivered. Where could I buy one in person?

Oh, and I'm on a budget (<£25)

Not sure of your location but IF you can get to the Christmas markets in Manchester they have a Bonsai stall in Alberts square.

There's a place in Cornwall .... but you didn't say where you are. It kind of helps.

My sibling refuses to buy bonsai - it's cruel or something.... bl00dy vegetarians, eh!

Cruel? to who? I don't want to send any non PC gifts ;)

I am by no means an expert here but I bought one cheaply off eBay a few years ago and it died within months... quite possibly it was just a small branch stuck in a pot. Just a word of warning, it might be one of those things it's better to spend a bit more on
  • Any garden centre or DIY store with a Garden section will have them - I've bought from B&Q before, they usually have loads.
