Buying car privately - need mechanic

Does anyone know any garages who will give a car the once over and how much it costs. Looking at buying privately in Belfast, Lisburn area.

I am not sure if garages do this. You might have to get the AA or some organisation like that to do it for you.

Depends on the car / value etc...
There are plenty of people / garages out there & as stated, the AA & RAC also offer this service.
Expect to pay anything from £80 upward depending on how detailed a report you want

Must be a recent change ... I was offered in April when I changed the car.


What are you buying, there are loads of "specialist" mechanics who could probably help

Watch out with the Mini. Know people who have had massive problems with the gearbox.
