Do Thomson Holidays know what they are doing?

I have just got back from a holiday with them and this evening I received an email from them, part of which I have copied below.
Why would they send this to me when the holiday is over. I did receive a similar one before we went.

We've 2 holidays booked for next year through Thomsons, I also receive these emails every couple of weeks for both....only the very first email contained an amendment, so Lord only knows what they are for?0

Novel idea I know
Odds are those go out for even the tiniest change in descriptions just to cover them legally. I don't use tour operators but I do remember back in my travel agent days that back then Thomson seemed to produce a huge amount of extra paperwork advising the same tiny changes several times so maybe not much has changed.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
