Hello all, I have bought so one an led lamp thing for manicures and thought I would get all the items that's needed as well. I googled it and have watched numerous you tube videos and am still confused. Especially by the number of things required.i am sure there must be an easier/cheaper way!
So far I have bought base coat and top coat although they seem to be the same. I have bought orange stick and nail polish. I am stuck with the other bits.
Some videos say wipe first with acetone, some say non acetone? Then the wipe thing at the end? Is there a cheap /easy way of doing this? What do I need?
Thanks

Hi
Wipe with acetone- you do not need a special nail nail preparation
apply gel base coat- cure
apply gel colour coat/s-cure
apply gel top coat- cure
then wipe with gel nail cleanser to get rid of any residual sticky (not acetone)
I use magic gel nail wipes now for the acetone- easy to travel with and easy to get gel nails off- which can be an issue without damaging your nails

Having said that I mostly use essence from wilko now
DO NOT buy any FUSE gel nail stuff it is carp0 -
Thanks for the tips. I will look out the stuff from wilco. Is it put on a wipe and wiped over?0

No. It is a non lamp gel polish system with a base and top coat that can be used with other brands of ordinary nail polish and result in hard and long lasting nail colour.
Do not know of any systems you apply with wipes! the wipes I was on about are to get the lamp cured gel off.0 -
In addition to previous replies, I'd recommend using an oil of some sort for your cuticles and the area around your nails as this tends to dry out a bit with the acetone. Olive oil is fine, as is a good hand cream. Apply after you finish doing your nails.0
