Hello TM, have you had a good evening? :)

I didn't cry this year. Not like me.

I do feel quite settled for the first time in many years....

Oh I've had a lovely time....quieter than normal but everyone has gone and I'm now waiting for DD to come in.

So pleased you feel settled TS.....you deserve contentment....and there's a lot to be said for being content...:)

I do too...but i think it is because we tend to think more about loved

    ones that we have lost

There's a bit of that perky....but it's also the anticipation and excitement of starting a new year and the love of our families behind us......and what challenges and opportunities we have ahead of us...I have butterflies just thinking about it:)

I think Anon could have been a diplomat in another life:)

He could actually be a diplomat in this life too if he wanted:rotfl:

Are the phone networks down...we've sent out loads of happy new year messages to friends but had nothing back.

I'm trying not to take it personally:rotfl:

No waiting for me, both the girls stayed in this year and we saw the new year in together, maybe while I am feeling more content. :)

I remember a couple years back waiting up for DD2 in fact I had to dust off my chauffeur's cap and pick her up around 3am I think it was. Hope your DD is back soon. x

I hope she's ok TS...she's on a train back to uni tomorrow.

We've had a wonderful cheeseboard tonight....I love that Emmental holey cheese with tomato pickle. If she doesn't come in soon I'm going to start nibbling again:rotfl:

We haven't sent any out this year, and Mr TS commented it was good we had not had any to reply to. Maybe that's why. :rotfl:

He will ring his relations in the morning.

DD1 phoned earlier before midnight as she was shattered after her drive back. You should have seen the amount she packed in the car and she has an estate car. I never travelled with that much with the three of mine. And we still have 2 bags of presents that she couldn't fit in to take back.

I am sure she is, they take it all in their stride, we do the worrying for them. :A

Oooh cheese, I am feeling a bit peckish, my Italian didn't quite satisfy me enough. I was thinking maybe I would open some nuts. :D

I have made strategic plans for our yearly cheese and wine evening after the last dates of the xmas cheese in Ts. :rotfl: Should be Saturday the 9th if all goes to plan. ;)
