As we draw this year to a close, can all those not in any other groups, and those in other groups, join together and form a bigger collective? We can call it Elite ... and could probably make use of this thread as our base :A.

    Welcome home everyone :).

Happy New Year to you too xx

I definitely don't have boats. Although they would have come in handy the amount of rain we had today. ;)

OK, so how long did it take anyone on here to get used to Windows 10?

I haven't downloaded it, it is on a new laptop, well, grade A open box computer (perfectly alright too), it is interesting but will take some getting used to. Any hints from any seasoned users?

not alot different to windows 8 to me, but i only surf. one thing i was worried about was the passwords ive forgotten that auto fill. but as i mostly use chrome to surf. it remembered all my passwords ok. but IE Totally reset and nothing remembered. but all in all glad i updated onlt 3 days ago

Got used to it straight away really. I downloaded it free on the old pc, then it came pre-installed on the new laptop.

I don't go into that box of pre-loaded apps though as it just looks vaguely annoying, so I ignore that altogether.

Also I stopped having the default MSN page as my home page as I was convinced it was doing things when I was busy on other tabs - eg one time it started playing music/adverts unasked for, and another time I heard voices on it (yes, spooky,) and I just don't like the idea of that automatically downloading things without my prior permission.

Other than that, fine. Oh, and 'they' (whoever they are) keep offering up fullscreen arty-type photos to see if you like them or not. I reject about 90% but have had a few nice ones.

Goes without saying really, to get some good antivirus stuff loaded immediately.
