Congratulations mhoc on your daughters engagement . we have 2 daughters weddings this year, I am catering one but both want to keep the budget under £5000.

So would also appreciate any money saving ideas or food glitches that I can use for the wedding xxx

Don't think it can be the same as VG - according to wiki it was a London based chain that was taken over by Tesco, then sold on to Bejams.

I just googled hillards as remembered those and says the were bought by tesco

No....I don't really like going to the docs tbh. I will do if it doesn't clear up on its own soon. Just trying to rest and stay hydrated.

Had to cancel two of my Crisis Christmas shifts which is the thing I feel especially bad about. I know I can't help being ill but it's frustrating when you make a commitment and can't do as much as you wanted to :(

So I thought I'd cheer myself up with a visit here. It's sale time and I know you guys are all as excited as I am by this :o:D

    Anyone remember VG stores?

Oh yes I remember VG stores - we had one down the bottom of our road and I use to have to bike there and get the odd item that we ran out of, didn't go there very often as they were too expensive-- we use to walk into town to International stores and Keymarkets and sometimes pop into woollies on the way home to get some biscuits (loose ones like a pick'n'mix)
