I have had a funny mouth last couple of days, cant make my mind up if throat or tongue:rotfl: but so so dry and tongue all cracked:cool: unless its the medication:o

some meds can give you a dry sore mouth bubbs. I have a spray on prescription to relieve a dry mouth as no matter how much water you sip it just doesn't help. :)
There's no place like home :)

  • just a rant. so each year we do a family (in-laws) lucky dip to the value of £30. Mine was a top from M& S which although I don't mean to be ungreatful, was more suited to a dear old granny. anyway I took it back without receipt as I know they would let me exchange. imagine my embarrassment to find that it cost £1.99 and had been that price since June. last time full price of £25 was jan 2014. bought by my SIL. cost me more to park! really upset about it as it was not the money so much, but that she thinks so little of me

From the other POV. If someone posted on here in June that they had bought a bargain M&S jumper for £1.99 that they were going to put away as a Xmas present, we would say that it was very :money:

Doesn't mean that SIL thinks little of you, just that she shops carefully.

    Helliooooooo to you!!
I hope you've had a lovely Christmas Bobby has missed you xx

We did a secret Santa at work and I also received a hideous top from M&S but it had a gift receipt with it so DD returned it the next day for me. What upset me more than the hideous top was when another member of staff said oh that's just you!!! Now I may have gained 3.5 stone but I didn't think my taste in clothes was that bad!!
Maybe somebody had bought it for her in the past and she saw an opportunity to regift it.
Maybe she is skint but even so I don't believe people should enter into it if they don't intend spending the money.
Try to rise above it and don't give her any of your thoughts.
Looking forward to January so we can get back to our routines;)
  • To add to the excitement I have just had a look at my Mr shoes account and the last order they cancelled they have credited me the points. The question is do I spend the points now or wait and see what happens. DH has his head in his hands I think he is sick of hearing about it haha.

I took something back once and they said it was coming up as 1p so the donor had had it a long time before gifting it. Wasn't embarrassed, lots of smiles all round, and I took it in my stride, but it goes to show that clothing is not a good gift on the whole.

Perhaps you could tactfully suggest from now on that the lucky dip is set at a much lower threshold and perhaps food-oriented or something more neutral?

Went to Bingo last night taking along my niece (19yr old student) - first time. The games are called quickly & I was worried she wouldn't keep up..... whilst texting with her other hand :rotfl:
She won twice :T:T That has helped her overdraft :D

Got up early this morning as builder friend was at long last going to repair our house wall...
After waking neighbours as job has to done their side, he discovered he has no cement :wall:
