Question - what is the worst time for the freezer to go wrong? Answer, right now :mad:

Fortunately this one keeps everything frozen for a long time so will be OK over Christmas, then hopefully borrow a friend's freezer, but I am not happy, it went wrong in June too and it is under 2 years old, which means it is still under warranty with John Lewis, which also means it will once again probably take at least 2 weeks to fix, probably 3 or 4 this time of year :mad:

We always call the day before Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve eve, cos it's the Day before Christmas Eve. I've got five kids and get easily excited over all things Christmassy. It was a way of spinning the holiday out when they were all little. Even now with the eldest in late 20s I can guarantee one of them will at some point ring or text to ask what the Christmas Eve Eve film is this year. It will be elf, jingle all the way is the Christmas Eve film. Got to watch that before the christingle this year as dd1 has invited us to hers for a bbq. Yes really:rotfl: she said she's making the most of the unseasonal warm weather.

Morning all. Happy Christmas Eve Eve :D
  • Morning All!

In my excitement to start the day I got up at 4.30am:eek:

I noticed at 5.30am, so had a little snooze on the sofa. :o

We are collecting our lease car today. A Renault Zoe electric car :j

We decided to use DM's money to invest in ways to benefit the whole family, and make it easier for us all to live together. In the current climate, it is likely to be a long time before any of the kids can move out into their own places. This car will mean I can get to work earlier, the kids can have lifts and the running costs will be minimal. (DD is not pleased as she would like her share to go travelling :().

The other excitement is Star Wars tonight :j DH had a gift card for a posh cinema for his birthday in April. He has saved it for Star Wars. :o

Must get on with wrapping and decluttering...... (I have 1 bag for the charity shop, 2 boxes of paperwork for the bonfire, half a bag for H&M recycling and 1 thing listed on Ebay. :j).

    Feeling Festive :xmassign:

    This sounds lovely .

My DS is like me he can take or leave Christmas even though I tried to make it special for him when he was younger, I am looking forward to see him later tonight :)
