Thank you for all the replies re the tesco/morries vouchers. Looks like we are going to have to be patient.
Altojack - I too bought all the papers, stamps and envelopes for my grown up kids like you do! Sad I know.
Been on argos website all afternoon trying to think what to buy without spending more than £2.50 x 2. All I can find so far is sandwich tins, playdough and frozen sticker books. Will keep looking. Trouble is loads of things are £2.49!
I went mad and bought a £5 gift card X 2 using 1000 points X 2
One of my late uncles used to give us a big bag of potatoes every year lol
Good Morning everyone and the lurker you know who you are0 -

TS, everyone has memories they carry with them through their lives, some good and some bad, you have a burden to carry but do not forget that everything in the past makes you who you are, you sometimes have to go through the bad so you can appreciate the good xx
FC, hope DS2 manages to make it through today without too many problems xx
LS,, you have coped with so much, don't let the leakage get you down when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel xx
I got back to sleep for another couple of hours, perhaps not a good idea as woken up with a headache. Sure a shower will sort me out and definitely freshen me up!
Still not caught up with washing mountain (from when I was in hospital and then washing machine broke) and near daily wet pj's and sheets not helping. Never mind, keeps me out of mischief I guess.0 -
Best place to buy train tickets? I'm guessing the train company's own website via quidco or tcb, but if anyone can improve on that let me know.
I have [STRIKE]bribed[/STRIKE] persuaded DS2 that he should take the train 200 miles rather than drive all that way on his own in a 1 litre Aygo.
I have an irrational fear when it comes to the kids driving on their own on the motorways.
Redspottedhanky if you have clubcard vouchers you can double up with. All done on website and pick up from station within 24 to 48 hours . Maybe0 -
It's not much, but you can buy tickets for any train company on the Virgin trains website, they don't charge a fee and I think you get nectar points.
500 bonus points when you make your first booking via Virgin trains (but check your nectar offers page to make sure it's there and to preload it to card if necessary.)
Morning all! May your day be merry and bright.
Or at least better than yesterday. xx“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Well, I have just reserved some nice blue pillowcases in Argos, another 1000 point will be coming my wayWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Thanks for that. Logged in and found that I had some vouchers remaining from way back when. :T
Annoying they charge a booking fee, but worth using up vouchers.
Daren't risk waiting for clubcard vouchers as I was lucky to find cheap advanced tickets for Xmas eve.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Good morning all.
Really dumb question time. When you get to Argos to collect your item do you just tell them you are paying with Nectar points and hand over the nectar card?0 -
