How I get my car washed with a nice wax finish for £2:

I pay my eldest son a Monster (60p after Amex run) to clean it by hand cloth with warm water & Halfords wax & shine I think it's called, picked up 5 litres for a song last year so we call the water, cloth & liquid 40p

He has a few concentration issues so is very efficient but a bit slapdash - I go and quickly clean any bits he missed 2 mins, we both avoid the dirty alloy wheels (messes up the cloth)

Now it's streaked & soapy but mostly clean (not wheels)

I take it to the spray place and put in £1

If you are efficient like me, you can spend 40% of your time spraying with pre-wash, close up spray on the wheels gets 95% of the dirt off, plus pre-wash de-streaks the bodywork

then 60% on hot wax to get off the pre-wash & apply a couple of coats of wax before the money runs out

possible downside for some is the alloys are not racer boy shiny etc but they're clean enough & just get dirty in a few hours driving anyway

Just had an email from Nationwide - they have something called Nationwide simply rewards which you have to register for. Then you either use your nationwide card in certain stores or resturants to get cashback or go through a designated link to order online and use your card

My best offers are spend £100 on Amazon get £25 back - I am going to try this by ordering gift cards which arrive next day.
Also get 50% back from Starbucks up to £7.50 - so spend £15 - can you get a lunch for that much ??

    What do you think?

Shopotize offers it says one left so buying things on Tuesday is still ok if I upload the receipt straight away?

Just noticed the mr Kipling mince pies are 2 for 1 according to mys but is that true or not or are they lying again
I was just going to get both the pies and the mr Kipling cake slices from Sainsbobs - I also have the pies on the nectar website

fair point let's not count the meat (5%) as I have simply upgraded the quality of what I would otherwise buy in the supermarket

    but 80% stamps - I'm saving £5 on £10.26, I use a lot of postage, that's a real (future) saving

    15% beer - I bought my Stella @ 30p a can, I drink beer, that's a real (future) saving

unfortunately my wife thinks like you, she would just see it as buying more beer, which is why I have had to stash it in the attic :)

including the superdrug and post office offers I've redeemed 48x so have saved £240 from these offers, realistically you could argue I'e saved £200.

In my haul I did these things:

Onestopx2 (8 cards so 16 redemptions) - 20+ Bottles of Wine working out at £2.50 a bottle (Hardy's) + Toilet rolls, + Nescafee Gold, PG Tips, Bread (only 1 lol), Mint Tea etc.
Pharmacy (Calprofen and Calpol + Nasal sprays) x4
Polish Delicatessen - Meats and other food x4

Basically some things are luxury some are things we will use in future. Definately worth it getting things for half price. Now wine stores are overloaded :)
