Is a portion size of cooked chicken about 100 grams so it is possible for a chicken to last a few meals.
@ HOWMUCH, I'm interested in your recipe for leftover chicken lasagna?0 -
I usually put a whole chicken in the SC - amazing how much meat comes off - I generally buy a large one from Aldo's, that feed's 3/4 adults for 4 meals including the stock for soup.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -

Yes it weighs 412g I think you don't need too much meat if you have plenty of veg etc I got 4 nice slices out of it when cold. Why pay full price when you may get it YS0 -

Yes a portion is 100g, if you google portion sizes.
Same as for mince beef just replacing the mince with chunks of chicken and extra mushrooms I used leg meat. Why pay full price when you may get it YS0 -
Oh forgot to add Chicken Fajita's.
A friend of mine does a sort of pot luck/lucky dip. To one pan she adds all the ingredients and cooks - Dice vegetables, rice, shredded or diced leftover chicken. Then adds whatever herbs and spices she grabs from the cupboard.0 -
Does it not depend on the breast size and how thinly or thickly you slice it? For 2 adults and 2 small children I could imagine it can stretch with lots of veg and side trimmings.
We're greedy here so, a generous breast does 2 adults. Including extra bits! And lots of gravy...0 -
my OH would think I was being mean if he didn't have a whole breast or leg of chicken! I think I do quite well feeding two adults and 3 - 7 grandkids on most of the roast chicken and keeping a bit back for curry the next night (or sarnies). and I use the 'pickings' for a stir fry lunch for myself.0
