Bombay sapphire or Jack Daniels 1litre bottles £15 Morrisons

Options
As title says one litre bottles of Bombay Sapphire or Jack Daniels only £15.

Wasn't well advertised in my local store but scanned at £15 each. Shelves had no prices against them.

Is this better than Schweppes ?

Can't stand the stuff myself, the Gin OR the Tonic ....

... BUT partner drinks GnT like a fish :D :rotfl:

and prefers Schweppes over all the supermarket/own brand offerings.
However generally has Sainsburys (as a palatable OK 2nd choice) at about 1/3rd the price of Schweppes.

We usually do get some Schweppes in for Xmas and I was happy to see it on offer at Morrisons at 3 for £2

Can't say I'd heard of Fever Tree before your post but if you can really recommend it, to make a better GnT, then I may "invest" in just a few bottles for an Xmas treat.

Presume you are referring to £1 for a litre bottle?
Where from? Only I can't think I've ever seen it on a supermarket shelf.
Then again I could do with going to Specsavers :D
Does it come in a diet slimline variant?

    cheers Q

    YES!

Much better, they do a regular, diet, elderflower, Mediterranean (my favourite), lemon, plus ginger ale and ginger beer.

I love the fever tree ginger beer.

Fevertree is much nicer and can justifiably describe itself as "premium". For example the premium Indian tonic water is made with natural quinine and has no artificial sweeteners, flavourings or preservatives.

The bottles I have are 500ml and are normally more than £1.50 but occasionally may be on offer for less when in a multi-buy.

ETA: Just checked the Morrisons site and they normaly sell the 500ml bottles for £1.36. But they are only offering a couple of the tonic waters, nothing more exotic (like Mediterranean or Ginger Beer).

£15 quid a litre is insanely low for Jack Daniels, it's over £20 in Dubai Duty free.

Shelves in Morrisons are empty though!

Managed to get 2 JDs and 2 Bombays just as (after) the store was closing yesterday. (SUNDAY)

Thought the "small print" on the TV said the offer was on until 1st Jan so never rushed down immediately, thinking stock wouldn't be a problem.

Anyway got there about 15:00 and NO  JD @ 1000ml

Assistant said they'd had 2 full pallets when offer started Thursday - possibly as many as 2000+ bottles but all had gone when he had started at 13:00 on Sunday

Enquired about the next deliveries and he said offer finished that day :(

Wandered round for a while looking at other Xmas offers and was just thinking about leaving at about 15:55 when the assistant came running up to me. Just had 6 cases of JD arrive on a delivery.

Went back to the aisle and picked up 2 bottles.
Told that I couldn't take the Bombay (which had also turned up) as well since restricted to 2 bottles :( of this offer "per customer" and would be stopped at the checkout by either the operator or the till itself.

Anyway, took JD through one till (receipt time is 16:12 :o), "hid it" ;) in a cardboard box and went straight back to get some Bombay.

    Another till (2nd receipt says 16:20) = SORTED ! :D

Just filled in an online customer service feedback survey and named the assistant that was so helpful
