Opinions on Ligoneil Road area, North Belfast

Hey guys. So me and my partner are first time buyers hoping to make a purchase in 2016, we've recently found a perfect house at a good price in the Mill Valley development off the Ligoniel Road.
The only downside is the area, on the drive up to the development there's a lot of flags out on the Crumlin Road and it is one of the places usually mentioned on the news if there's trouble over 12th. We've taken a few drives round the area after work and the development it's self seems nice and quiet. Few kids playing out in the street which I think is a good sign. However I really don't know the area well enough to make an informed decision.
Does anyone have any further information, is it bad around the 12th, are there bonfires parades etc? Is there much antisocial behaviour?
Any opinions will be gratefully received as I don't know anyone who lives in the area and I don't want to be going in blind!

I don't know the area, but the old maxim is 'buy the worst house in the best area'. That way, you can add value and live in peace.0
