Bizarre message on Facebook from SoSensational?

Hi all,

was just slightly concerned about this.

I received a message on Facebook from someone claiming to be working with SoSensational. They knew I'd entered a competition with them, and let me know I hadn't won the prize, but they would like to ask me to "review" hosiery.

The woman said the reviews are for myself and a family member to take part in (why specifically a family member?) and to take pictures of us both wearing "tights, stockings, or hold-ups" and we would receive a £100 Debenhams gift card each and the chance to win £150 more.

I don't buy it because it sounds sketchy. Hopefully someone can confirm this is legit and not some bizarre person using a fake account to try and get half-clothed pictures of people to feed their "desires"..

Is this legit? Has anyone else received a similar message? Will put the entire message below for context.
Hi emily, Thanks for taking part in our competition on SoSensational with Harlow and Fox to win £300 of lingerie. Unfortunately you did not win, but we have asked a select few of entries if they are interested in taking part part with some hosiery reviews that high street store Debenhams are currently running. The reviews are for you and another family member of your choice to partake in. The reviews consist of you trying on 4 pairs of your own tights/stockings/holdups, writing a small review of each pair and taking some photos of them while worn. The reviews are to be done in the comfort of your own home and you will each receive a £100 debenhams gift card and the chance to win £150 if chosen as best reviewers. Please message if interested or if you would like any more information.

There was a scam going around a while ago like that although they were trying to get pics of children wearing undies etc sounds like the same sort of thing.

(Thinking about it if they want a family member as well there is a fair chance they would get possibly younger daughters in there along with mothers and sisters so maybe it is that angle)

    Yes seems like a scam

Asked "her" where I had to post the pictures, if I had to post them on the Debenhams website. "She" said to send them through Facebook, as they are "only for office view, not public".

Will phone SoSensational and inform them.

Edited to add: Just phone SoSensational and they most definitely have nothing to do with it. The lady I spoke to asked me to send some screenshots of the messages to her so she could show her manager and forward them on to Harlow and Fox as well so everybody knows what is going on and can move forward with warnings accordingly.

Yes, I remember a similar scam too - someone posted it on here a few years ago. Dirty beasts  - I would report to FB!

I will definitely report to Facebook, also posted a warning onto Facebook, called SoSensational who are going to inform Harlow & Fox, and most likely post a warning message to their own Facebook page :)

It actually does look pretty legit and there's nothing new about "comps" to write a review and keep the "prize" ... legit, at least, until it gets to the bit about taking pictures wearing the items.

    Was just thinking the same...

The scary  bit is it's actually very well worded and professional sounding (unlike most) until that bit throws you.. clever enough too to sign with a womans name and a kiss.

The bit that made me suspicious is when it said 'your own tights' - not Debenhams specific ones. Immediately made me think of the tattered old ones hiding away in my drawers, no one wants photos of that! ;) otherwise I probably would have fallen for it!
