How honest are OR's?

I've had a similar problem and my main stress/concern. I was living with a friend with no tenancy agreement or rent book just a DD coming out every month for £476. Due to the fact I can't afford that rent any more and just had a baby I've moved out this month to another friend who is charging me £200 until I can housed by the council or housing association. My friend now is more than happy to let to OR know I'm staying there but not the guy I used to share with. As I'm now at a different address I'm hoping that the OR won't need to contact the guy I used to share with, too complicated to go into.0
