i wanna get my tag heuer serviced

hi,

re the above, i need to get my tag serviced but object to paying £130+ at goldsmiths (particularly when all they will do is send it off to a third party workshop!)

I have had a look on the internet for watch repairers etc and whilst I have found a few, I have been completely unable to find any independant reviews of their service on the internet. Has anyone got amy good reccommendations/experiences with watch repairers.

(even better would be an independant workshop in the essex/east london area

thanks for any help

I did the same with Beaverbrooks quite a few years ago, but was disappointed with the so called "Service" so now I just change the battery myself. Can pick the Batteries up really cheap off the web and a tool for removing the back was only a tenner of eBay, saved myself a fortune over the years.

My original Tag is now just over 10 Years old and has a RRP of £2K at the time, although it was a lot cheaper in Bahrain where I got it from. Was a bit dubious about doing it myself at first but not any more.

Just picked up a new Tag but gone for the Link automatic one this time round. From the Tag Service Centre info in my manual they name LVMH Watch & Jewellery Ltd in Worsley, Manchester on 01204 861168 which is actually a Bolton number. IF that helps.
    Cheers

thanks for the reply sjc. i probably should have said that it was an automatic one rather than battery.

i will give them a call in the morning

anyone else with any other experiences?

    thanks

Before the server problems and loss of threads, there was a thread on here about Tag approved battery/service which were half the normal price. I now cannot find it, but would love to know if anyone recalls it, as I too have a Tag which needs a new battery.
