I love to eat icecream but I know it is not good for health :o

What are the list of best low fat, low calorie ice creams (which I can buy in supermarkets)?

Thanx

They are all different - Sorbets with lower fat, but similar sugar; frozen yogurt with lower overall calories.

If you are looking for a brand recommendation, try Skinny Cow - personally I tried it & didn't like but, but YMMV.

Instead of eating a bowl of ice cream, put a scoop into a cone. The cone will reduce the total calories and you will probably feel more satisfied after eating it than scoffing a bowl full ( look up brain/ear/stomach satisfaction with crunchy foods)
Instead of going for low-cal ice creams, you could also try buying ultra expensive, so you have to portion it out rather than digging in. Works well with the above cone method.

    Good point.

The other thing worth checking out is the calorie count for ice cream sold in portions like cones & choc ice products.

Some of these can be much less calorific than even a modest bowlful of premium ice cream.

e.g. Ice Cream wafer sandwich 135 kcals each. (from Aldi or Tesco).

You will feel more satisfied having a small portion of good quality (Hagen Dazs, Ben & Jerrys etc) ice cream than having a larger portion of low fat watery ice cream.

Or you could try Frozen Yoghurt.

A 30 minute walk won't burn that amount of calories lol. a 30 minute run will though!

As others have suggested quality is better than quantity. If I eat Haagen Daaz for example I eat a lot less than the normal vanilla ice cream. It is also full of less 'crap'. Haagen Daaz Vanilla has 5 ingredients. Compare these:

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=256071839

Only 50 calories or so between them per 100g, but Haagen Daaz has a less sugar and more protein in! It has more fat, yes but it's sugar that is more evil than fat!

I would also suggested frozen yoghurt as an alternative.

What are the calories for the del monte frozen mango things on sticks. I think that taste and texture wise they are utterly awesomely nice.

100kcal per lolly it says. Fat free.

The strawberry (or was it raspberry) ones are nowhere near as good, in my subjective opinion.
