Home treatments for ear issues?

I wear headphones daily and earplugs at night quite often.

I get the odd bit of pain in my ear and sometimes a "squelchy" noise/feeling which I think is known as swimmers ear. The ear wax can be a bit smelly too.

Any good treatments for ears on the market or maybe some home remedies?

For ear wax try putting in drops of olive oil.

I woukd suggest a micrvaccum cleaning by a reputable professional, followed by one drop of olive oil each ear weekly. It sounds as tho some water got behind your impacted ear wax! The ear drum an get "boggy" or an infection take hold. Just like hearing aid users, your ear produces more wax when you put a plug etc in them but that extra wax cannot move out because of that obstruction so builds up and dries out.
I would ask around to find wbere folks with hearing aids would recommend. I founs a great deal of variation in skill and price!

Book a visit with the nurse at the GP surgery. Why mess about shoving peoples home remedies in your ear when the nurse can probably have a look in there and give you an ear wash or something that works. Oh, its also FREE

I agree with N9eav, book an appointment with the nurse and let her take a look :). She will also be able to see whether you have an infection - which should be treated.
