immigration issue

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but as peeps on here have been very helpful in the past, I thought I would pose the question.

My friend is Lithuanian. He is currently over here working. His wife is Russian, who lives in Lithuania.

Q. Does my friend's wife need a visa to come to the UK?

Q. If she does not need a visa, what documents will she need to bring with her to enter the UK? Passport, marriage certificate etc?

Many thanks

  • I think it would depend on her passport. If she has a Lithuanian passport no problems. If Russian she would be coming as a spouse of an Europe worker. I think she needs a European residence card of some type to demonstrate her status as his wife. Check the uk immigration sites to be sure how it works the rules change all the time.
