Hi
I just wanted to let you all know that we have done it! we went BR on Thursday and it was as you said...not as scary as we had anticipated. although I was quite sure I was going to have a nervous breakdown nevertheless!!!
We had a phone call from the OR that afternoon and she has made a date on Monday week for a telephone interview. Have to confess to being super anxious about that but will be so happy when its all over and we can finally de-stress!!!!
THANKYOU SO MUCH EVERYBODY FOR YOUR SUPPORT,ADVICE AND KIND WORDS!!
This website has made what is a horrible thing to go through seem less scary and your support has been invaluable.

Please keep us posted, esp after your telephone meeting with OR. I'm so glad you're already feeling less stressed. Hope all goes well.

Well done for getting through it. :j:beer:
The worst bit about the interview is normally the worry beforehand as well.:DFree/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Well done Nic, glad it all went well.
I have my OR interview this Thursday and am trying not to think about it, at least not till Wednesday eveing when i'll be frantically double checking everything. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

well done and glad it all went smoothly. I worried like mad about my telephone interview, and have to say the guy was lovely and put me at ease. U will definately be able to breathe a sigh of relief once its over, I know I did0

Really pleased that it went well for you. There really isn't much to worry about as far as the OR interview is concerned. It will be based, loosely, around the form which you filled in when filing for your bankruptcy.
Don't forget, this will, also, be the ideal opportunity for you to ask the OR about ANY aspects of your bankruptcy that you are unsure of. Take this opportunity as it is likely to be the last time that you will actually get to speak with the OR before your (hopefully early) discharge.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Well done on getting through the court stage so glad it was maro relaxed than you anticipated:T
Next stage as everyone has said seems scary but the OR is only doing a job and they prefer just like you or I a plesant work day so just make sure you have your paperwork to hand,a comfy chair,a cup of tea/coffee (mine took nearly an hour so welcomed a drink) a pencil and note pad for anything you need to remember. It will be fine.
Boy will you sleep well that night:T
Good luck and keep us informed.:beer:Some of the best lessons we ever learn,we learn from our mistakes and failures.the error of the past is the success and wisdom of the future. :j0
