It could be either as you sometimes do get pale corgettes, but I think you're right - it looks more like a squash to me. I guess if you cut it, the insides might give you more of a clue

Or it could be a courgette-we grow a Lebanese variety (they come on a packet of mixed courgettes) which looks like that.0

It's most definately vegetable spaghetti - it's my DH's favourite veg. If you haven't yet cut it, leave well alone and then boil it in its skin for 30 -60 minutes (depends on size - it's not a scientific thing!). When softish to a knife, cut in half, remove seeds in centre (and throw away) and use a fork to separate the 'threads' of 'spaghetti' flesh. Place in oven proof dish, sprinkle with cheese, butter and lots of pepper (I have a non pepper side for me), grill quickly to melt and then eat with lots of enjoyment.
Must go and check tomorrow at the market if they have some!
