As phil says, any balance on the card at the date of your BR is a bankruptcy debt which you now have to let go into the bankruptcy.

Its really not that bad...before the interview make some notes yourself if you have any questions..(helped me I forgot a few things on the day) while the interview goes on sometimes it'll go quiet while the examiner is making notes..dont fill the gaps with waffle!! :rotfl:

Thank you everyone for your replys it is much appreciated .
  • I had mine back in 2010, He was a very friendly and understanding man.

He went into the reasons why I had been made BR by MBNA's collection agents (£895.00) he thought it was ridiculous esp now the other companies would not get their money. Anyway off topic a tad there.

Very friendly, never felt judged, he was able to get most of the information. Felt so much better afterwards and now I am always on top of my financial issues and so much better for it. I am sure you both will be fine.

I would ask questions and get the answers down on paper no question is a silly question in this situation.

    Good Luck.

    Good luck

  • Don't want to be a bearer of bad news , but I was also self employed and my first interview was ok but l had to attend a second interview and this time was awful. He was a complete so and so. This was 6 years ago, I had a BRO for 5 years and they're still hassling me now. I do get depressed about it. Hopefully you won't suffer the same fate. Good luck.

Oh no! That sounds awful , do you mind me asking what he wanted to know from you , and what is he still hassling you for all this time later? I can't bear the thought of this hanging over us for as long as that !
  • Hi, TBH, We attended our meeting as requested..I was made bankrupt by Arrow Global over a minor CC bill (under 1K) anyway......

No issue regarding the meeting. I believe this was done shortly done after the first interview. Just have paper work to back you up.
