SCS and Creation Finance
Hi,
Having a complete nightmare as i can see many other people are!! We got a sofa from SCS and paid the deposit on the 31/01/2015. On a 10 Month buy now pay later.
The 10 months is up and we have had no communication from SCS or Creation. (Yes ok we should have been paying attention) however we then find out that the agreement set up with creation is at a previous address which we no longer live at, so any correspondence that has been sent out wont have been received. This is all despite that fact that SCS had the right details for and told us that we couldn't set anything up until we had a permanent address (we were in the process of moving from a third address) so we reluctantly gave them our new address which we moved in to a day or so later.
So now we have to pay 36 months at a horrific interest rate for a sofa which cost £500 to start with. Really not impressed!
Whole system is not connected at all!

Ultimately it was your responsibility to inform creation of your address change and even more so, it was your responsibility to contact them to make payment before the 10 months was up.
The agreement you signed would have made it very clear that if you didn't make payment before the 10 months was up then you would be paying whatever the interest rate was at the time of singing.0 -
should have used royal mail redirect during both moves, you reap what you sow.....0

You could try complaining to them but i wouldn't hold out much hope.
You knew when you bought it what the terms where, and you knew what 31/01/2015 plus 10 months was. You should have contacted them to find out how to make a if you had received nothing and was getting close to 10 months.0 -
good luck complaining they wont play muchDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Why not simply pay it all off with 0% deal credit card?
Virgin money have just launched a 40 month (yes 40 months!) balance transfer card.0 -

The "horrific" interest has been added on every month since day one back in Jan 15. If it was paid on time, they simply don't charge it but now the date has passed, it has now been added to the balance.
I don't understand why so many people think SCS/Creation or anyone else will start writing letters to the customers, the repayment arrangement was all agreed at the time of signing.0
