    Quite a quiet day.

Went to Tesco for a loaf and some eggs but did buy flowers for OH's return this evening. Going to cook with what we have in. Did a bit of tidying up but you know what didn't even miss going to the shops which I may well have done.

Went to local shoppiing centre yesterday cos I had a book voucher burrning a hole in my pocket and also a cinema voucher. I bought a crime thriller but alos pciked up a smashing book called " How to live Free" by Tom Hodgkinson. It's full of short essays on not only about debt-freeness but also about avoiding supermarkets, doing things for yourself and being free from anxiety.

Not a preaching or ranting book, a canny read as we say up here

NSD for me, but then I haven't left the house... did think about nipping out this evening, but I can't be bothered and it'll avoid the temptation of the 24-hour Spar.

The book sounds really interesting SAFC!

Nada, feeling awful so was tempted to spend but lovely mum bought me a magazine since I'm house bound (it had free flip flips too!)

  • Good on you pap!
Hope everyone had a nice bank holiday. If you were working "just think of the money" as my old boss used to say to me (it should be at least double money today, but I know not everyone gets it).
We've had a lovely sunny non bank holiday here in Scotland. I got my post delivered, but no hate mail, so that's a'right.
I've been very good today, nothing spent!!

NSD! First in ages, mainly prompted by checking my bank balance (well, overdraft...) for first time in a few days and realising it's not as healthy as I had hoped. Plus the Monday Market round here was rubbish so not exactly tempted to buy anything. Sauce is simmering now for HM pizza from ingredients I had in already (and mozzarella was reduced to 99p for three lumps in the supermarket yesterday - yum!).

Just got home from work, no double pay for me, unfortunately. I work every weekend and bank holiday for an estate agent, so have to fit my car boot sale expeditions in to get to work for 10a.m. on Sundays.

The only one today was from 10-1 so didn't get a chance. Still at least I did not spend a single penny!
