PV supply & installation Quote

Hi Forum,
I am thinking of getting an solar array before the tariff change, have got few quotes below, however looking on the forum people have mentioned around 5K for a 4KWp system where as I am looking for a 3KWp system (because of the restricted roof space) and the quotes are all above 5K
can some one refer me the suppliers & installers you have used please?
All of the suppliers are providing insurance backed quotes and a 10 year warranty on labour and parts with 25 year warranty for efficiency of panels and provide a generation meter and monitoring web portal.
Supplier 1: Ja Panels - 290W, nPhase inverter, iBoost for hot water, 2.9KW £6000
Supplier 2: BenQ 330W, Solar Edge inverter, solar iboost plus, 4KW £7695
Supplier 3: LG 285W, solar iBoost,, nphase inverter, 2.2KW £6339
Hanergy: thin film panels, SMA inverter, immersun, 2.5KW £5194
My roof details are below:
Pitch: 35º , orientation 160º, shading factor: 0%
I have a south facing roof with no shading as told by one of the sales rep who visited my place, should I go for string / nphase / solaredge optimiser? based on what I have so far in the forum string inverter should be all right. Can you please suggest if my understanding is correct.
Many Thanks,
San

Hi and welcome to the PV mad house...
I am sure others will pile in but if you have no shading (this is a good time of year to look up at your roof, particularly early in the morning when the sun is low and again before sundown, to see if the roof is shade free) the there is no point going to the extra expense of Solar Edge or nphase etc. A normal string inverter will be cheaper and fine. If there is a small amount of shade the SMA inverters have quite good shade management - I have noticed an improvement since I turned mine on.
I would certainly try to max out whatever roof space you have. Subject to cost I would possibly think something like the BenQ panels on a SMA inverter and I would take the immerSUN if you have a hot water tank but that is my preference as I have one. Others will have similar thoughts on the iBoost. The one thing the immerSUN has which the iBoost doesn't is a monitoring add-on. You can just buy that and self-install (really easy) later if funds are an issue but I find it really useful.
