Nearly finished carpenter training...

Hi,
My husband is 36 years old, and recently trained to work as a carpenter (City & Guilds), and he's done really well on the course which finishes in a few weeks time.
He would like to set up to be self employed, but he doesn't have enough money to set up - for example, tools, and a van.
Are there are any grants he can apply for in Wales, which could help him?
Thank you for your help,
Gwen
