http://news.experiencenottinghamshire.com/win-one-of-five-breaks-in-nottinghamshire

The festive season is upon us, and we’re feeling generous this year, so we’ve teamed up with tourism partners across the county to offer you the chance to win a stay in Nottinghamshire in the New Year.

Just tell us which one of these fabulous prizes take your fancy, and you could be joining us here next year – as our Christmas gift to you.

As it’s the season for sharing we’re also giving away daily gifts via social media. Find out how to WIN here.

1. A weekend city break for two

Enjoy a two night stay at the Crowne Plaza hotel located in the heart of Nottingham City Centre, complete with on-site fitness centre, spa, and indoor swimming pool.

You’ll also enjoy Sunday lunch with a bottle of wine at The Larder on Goosegate, a stunning restaurant housed in the Grade II listed Victorian building that was Jesse Boot’s first chemist store. Beautiful turn of the century interiors remain in this once small herbalist’s shop.

2. A city penthouse suite stay for two

The St James Hotel boasts a contemporary, luxury boutique feel, and is just moments away from Nottingham Castle. The Penthouse, where you’ll spend the night, is an exquisite room offering panoramic views over the city, a Jacuzzi and even a grand piano!

You’ll be treated to an evening of fine dining with wine at up-market Hart’s restaurant, where modern British cuisine is served using top quality ingredients in simple striking combinations. This beautiful eatery has a stylish and comfortable interior.

3. A heritage stay in D.H Lawrence country for two

Take an overnight stay at the Eastwood Hall, set in 26 acres of spectacular grounds in the heart of D.H Lawrence country. You’ll enjoy dinner here too, but not before spending time exploring the many places that influenced some of Lawrence’s most famous works.

Enjoy a tour of Green’s Windmill with the miller. Yes, Nottingham has its own working windmill! Green’s Windmill is a restored 19th Century tower mill, once home to mathematical physicist George Green. You’ll experience a working flour mill first hand, and even take home a bag of stone-ground organic flour.

Discover Nottingham’s haunting past, with a copy of the e-book, Ghosts of Nottingham and Lincoln – with compliments of The Original Nottingham Ghost Walk.

4. An eco-friendly city stay for two

Stay overnight at the award-winning De Vere Venues Orchard Hotel, an eco-friendly building featuring rooftop terraces, green roofs and maximum use of natural daylight. Surrounded by the extensively landscaped grounds of the University of Nottingham campus, it spans 330 acres.

Le Bistrot Pierre, in the heart of the city centre, is housed in a former bank where the old vaults are used as a dry store. You’ll be served a three course meal of French cuisine with wine to complement.

5. A family break for four in the heart of Sherwood Forest

The Sherwood Hideaway is a woodland retreat of luxury lodges nestled deep within Sherwood Forest. You and the family will indulge in a four-night break in a two-bedroom luxury lodge, where you’ll discover activities and fun aplenty.

Bring out the Tarzan and Jane in you all, as you go swinging through the trees at Go Ape, Sherwood Pines. A family pass is included for two gorillas and two baboons for you to enjoy.

After you’ve re-charged your batteries, enjoy a visit to Newark Air Museum, which is located on a former World War II airfield, and boasts an impressive display of more than 74 aircraft and cockpit sections.

The twister ride, mighty falling rapids, and fast drop flume are just some of the sun drenched activities you’ll enjoy in the sub-tropical atmosphere of Water Meadows, a splashtastic indoor water and fitness complex in Robin Hood Country.
