Hello
I thought I would start a Christmas Eve hamper thread for 2015 so we can share ideas
Many of the things in our hamper are brought out year after year so it is reasonably money saving. So far this year I have:
Festive DVD
Christmas mugs
Santa plate
Hot chocolate and candy canes
PJs
Popcorn
Sweeties with a seasonal theme
Reindeer food
Santa stop sign
Still on the look out for a few more wee bits and pieces to keep the children busy on the day so some crafty things or we may just make festive play dough.
What do you have so far?

ours is very similar
I also have
cookie in a jar kit so the kids can make cookies to leave for santa
pack of crackers & chocs for the xmas tree as otherwise they never make it to the big day
Notebook/journal and some stickers- the kids decorate it and then we make a list of special memories from the yr plus record xmas presents on the day (helps with thank you cards)this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
My daughter was going to simply be a onesie, dvd and bag of popcorn in a poundshop popcorn tub (re-used from last year).
Thinking now I need to make it a bit more exciting.
Normally it doesn't get opened till after tea despite a whole day of nagging, but liking the idea of craft stuff in it that would keep daughter out of my hair a little as I do all the last minute preparations.
Got a Christmas activity book from Aldi the other week that would fit in perfectly.Zebras rock0 -
I have cut back a bit this year, I used to go absoloutly crazy with the xmas eve hamper, but this year they are off to the cinema with dh in the afternoon, so the hamper will purely be for evening, rather than to keep them occupied during the day too!

Festive shower gel
Mint matchmakers
