Extra cash for xmas

Hello,
My name is Ben. I am self employed as a painter and decorator.
Every year I aim to set aside some of my earnings to cover Christmas and January. Every year I fail and end up stressed due to lack of money etc.
I find myself in the same situation. I have enough work to cover bills and mortage.
Looking for any help and suggestions for earning some extra money.
I've done all of the usual things over the past few year. eBay selling. Phones, CDs etc etc
The main problem I have is time. I work 6-7 days a week 8-5 and then come home to family life.
I'm not expecting something for nothing. Just out of ideas and in need of some help/guidance.
Thanks in advance
Ben

Hi Ben,
Have you thought about putting your prices up a bit? Honestly, you're working really long hours you should be able to charge an extra tenner here and there, and you would see a difference!
I have a direct debit from my bank to a savings account, I don't miss the money but I'm glad of it come December.
All other ways to earn money will require a bit of time and effort from you, I do sw@gbucks snd eb@y but I wouldn't be able to earn enough to pay for xmas from it.Jan 20 - NST challenge

I'm sure I posted here before but it disappeared but basically could you not perhaps cut on the costs? You could arrange a Christmas on a budget. There isn't much reason to spend a fortune on it only to pay it for the next 4-5 months. You are late for this Christmas I'd say but you could start saving into an account from January for the next one.ally.0

I always do a few extra 'tricks' at Xmas time just so that the kids and grandkids get a few extra prezzies.0
