Just seen advertised on TV a tens machine (pain relief machine) £14.99 at Lloyds Pharmacy (I'm sure the RRP is around £40). I bought one from boots about a year ago for my back and can recommend them.

Not suitable for use in pregnancy. I just thought I'd point this out. It carries a warning. We looked at them a few days ago for the wife.

Also worth checking the net for one if you are pregnant, you can hire one from boots and sometimes your ante-natal clinic (latter for free except you pay for the pads - defo worth an ask), but I found buying one from the net about the same price as the boots hire, and although there is a warning on about them being used far too early, I used mine way before the baby was born for that general back ache/braxton hicks etc, and have used it since for general aches and pains. IMO they don't obliterate severe pain but are good for general run of the mill pain if you don't like taking tablets. The LLoyds price is a great one, thanks to OP.
