do you still need a matalan card???

HI, not sure if in right place, but can anybody tell me if you still need a matalan card to shop at matalan? dont want to travel 9 miles only to be told you still need a card but sure someone said before they stopped them. thanks

You should be fine without a Matalan card. I have one, but have forgotten it on the odd occasion and have never had any problems at the tills.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the perks of being cardholder actually are...?

I get asked for mine in my local store but if you've lost it/forgotten it had one in the past then they usually just ask your name and postcode- not sure why

If not then apply whilst there and you'll still get a card to use there and then

thanks, both, i actuall do have one but have not been for over a year and cant find it now. will pop over or give them a tinkle first thing to find out. i never knew what you needed one for before as well:huh:

The cards are free now not £1 as before. If you look around the store now there are deals like '2 products for £X' which say "exclusive Matalan card holders offer" or something like that so I presume they are not compulsory anymore but you miss out any the multibuy deals without one.

If you give them your postcode they look you up and give you a slip which is your temporary card for the day

They are used to track what people buy and of course refund on,they aer all just marketing ploys to see what you buy etc
