    Regarding our horse being a business expense, this is something we'll look into when my wife is actually running a business. As it is, she has 18 months of study ahead during which our horse is basically a big pet. A hobby horse, if you will. She is lovely though.

    Anyway, self-employed accounts and business expenses and the like will only be a consideration when we re-mortgage for the first time, as we will be looking to buy within 18 months.
