if you don't mind me asking. which lender is this with?
  • I've just had the same thing happen to me - except we haven't had the offer yet.

Application was made 2.5 weeks ago (with Nationwide), valuation was 2 weeks ago, and today our mortgage adviser said it has gone for audit.

Really annoying as we're just 7 days from our deadline for exchange.
  • Seems a crazy thing to do. I have the agents to talk to etc and do not want to ring anyone as I am not unsure as to what is going on. Seems strange to actually send out the offer in the post and then pull it for audit.

Very stressed right now. Kind of taking over my entire thought process!

I'm not an expert, but judging from google, it seems to be quite common that your application gets audited even after exchanging. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

I was worrying more about ours because I thought it was stranger that they are auditing it before even making an offer! So we are panicking for opposite reasons haha. It's so stressful waiting and not being able to do anything - hopefully it goes through for both us
  • Thanks and you too. Very stressful times for us both.
  • Still no answer. Apparantely the bank are waiting 'on some responses'. (What ever that means!) still a very stressful time.
  • Offer received. Then pulled for audit, then offer cancelled. Thanks TSB. Great help!! No credit issues at all. No new credit. Strong wages but they didn't like it for some reason. Merry Xmas ;):T:T
