Anyone know how easy it is to get scammed by delivery drivers in 'norn iron'?

Is there licences required to setup an oil delivery company, what checks and balances are in place to prevent the consumer being ripped off?

Heard a story tonight about someone getting less fuel than ordered, how easy is it to cheat the meters?

Yes, you must have a RDCO (registered dealer of controlled oil) licence to buy and sell Kero and MGO

Recently there was a conviction in North Down. Complainant was an Old Peoples Home where a very large delivery was been made. In a 5,000 litre delivery the offender didn't think the customer would catch on to a couple of hundred litre shortfall?

Easier to keep an eye on your domestic tank by a meter or calibrating it with a dipping stick

Heating oil delivery tankers have several compartments, there is nothing to stop 700 litres being pumped into consumers tank and 200 into a spare compartment. Print out will read 900!

Hmm, there is no meter of any kind on my tank. The calibrated stick sounds good where would you pick one up. The tanks not uniform not sure how that would work.
