Would you work without a contract?

As per the heading.
I am now working without signing a contract, knowing what my rate of pay is, knowing how many hours I am working etc.
Would you do this?
I have been coerced/forced into doing this job via a Jobcentre work fair.

Its not an implied contract, it is a contract. Your employer is obliged to provide written terms and conditions within a certain period of time.0

I have talked to some of the other members of staff, and they don't have contracts either, or any written confirmation of what hours they will be working, or their exact pay, or when the first payday is:(

I would and do work for a verbal contract only ...if/when danger money is right
I have often wondered how that works on taking out protection insurance but hey ho. Come to realise some industries are just verbal all the way and it isn't worth it if you are in a job you don't want to lose and you get paid on time and actually see those payslips it can be a result on it's own.
However I don't know that I would continue in a job not knowing the working hours. Imagine you could quash any sanction quite easily on that one alone.
Some companies insist you pass 'their' probation period first before they might issue a contract.?0 -

Although a verbal offer and acceptance can be binding, proving it is likely to be difficult. In Wright v Canterbury Christ Church University College [2005] EAT/0428/04/0604, the EAT ruled that an offer is binding if a “reasonable person” would infer that the employer intended to be bound by the offer once it was accepted, whether or not this was actually the employer’s intention.

If you have started work you must have some idea if your hours are as and when or 9-5 Mon-Fri. Assume the lowest legal possible of minimum wage and zero hours and it must equal or better that.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Up until last week I was unsure whether this "job" actually existed, and I still don't know what days/hours I am working (not today) or how much I am being paid.
I am absolutely knackered at the moment, and to be honest I am wondering why I haven't just walked out of it.:(0
