PC World Rent Smart Problems

Hi
I was wondering if someone could please help me, I got a macbook from PC world with Rent smart for £44 per month, I didn't get a choice as to the date i paid my direct debit but at the time I was being paid weekly so it was fine, I have since had to change jobs and I now get paid monthly and I have to manage a over a month without pay, I called rent smart and asked to change the date of my DD but was told they cannot change the date as their system doesn't let them apparently, I have already paid Novembers payment but they said the only way of doing it is by standing order and making a 2nd November payment to them else I will get charged £15 and a black mark.
I believed that all businesses are supposed to help you when it comes to financial hardship and not cause the financial situation to become worse?
Please help me.
Many Thanks
Joe
