An hours slot will I be doing tests first or will I be asked lots of questions none of which I know will be asked and trying to prepare for oh god im nervous. Like to be prepared but work shifts at present very time consuming just trying to see what its going to be like.

There are at least 6, if not more, competencies that can be set for junior civil service roles and you may be asked anything from 1 to 6 of them.

It would be very helpful to you, and for us, if you could identify the specific competencies required.

Many roles are advertised on the Civil Service recruitment website (though some are held by the departments own recruitment website) and they retain the original job description on them which will list the specific competencies they will interview you for. Try and find it.

Secondly, AFAIK, the civil service use the STARR format - situation, task, action, result and reflection so you seem to have the outmoded one.

Go and find the latest civil competency framework which will list the desired behaviours for the job at your level (is this AA, AO or EO?).

I appreciate your limited job preparation time. Given that it's limited, it's better if it's a bit more focussed.
