Tax Problem

Options
Hi,

I've been phoning HMRC on and off for the last 4 months trying to sort out my tax rather unsuccessfully. To begin with my tax code was wrong (although is now sorted), meaning I was taxed far more than I should have been (a tax rebate I am yet to receive), plus it appears my p45 details have been added twice (although apparently HMRC have received two p45 details from my previous job, although looking through my bank statements only one of these figures is in fact correct). The last time I spoke to them was over 2 weeks ago. They said they would get back to me within two working days although I am yet to hear of anything.

I am unsure what to do now. Do I sit and wait, phone them again etc.

Many thanks

phone then again. and keep hassling them every day if you have to.

never believe anyone when they say 'we'll phone you back'.

that's code for 'I can't be bothered to deal with this'.
