Hi All,
Is anyone planning to attend these across Northern Ireland tomorrow?
I personally am not a fan, it encourages people to buy things they may not necessarily need and I'm not convinced some of the prices on offer and indeed stock represents a good deal.
Interested to hear differing views.

Sometimes you may get a good deal but for the most part it seems to be discontinued models and old stock offered at a slight discount which to be honest if you really need or want one of the items offered I am sure a look online somewhere will find it at a similar rate without the need for swarms of barging hunters.0

A bargain is only a bargain if you would have been buying it anyway.

I suppose it makes a good news story: people standing in long queues, crazy people fighting for bargains and others showing off how much they "saved" and their greed - we all like to look on in righteous condemnation at gratuitous greed after all.
Also, I suppose, it is an easy news story to cover for the TV cameras and reporters since the stores are usually in the big city centres not far from the broadcasting offices.0 -
Internet all the way for me - some great BF deals on-line0

Internet mainly these days.
Though I got a Lenovo laptop / netbook off Argos today, down from £229.99 to £129.99. Ventured out and went to the store to pick it up0 -
Bought a TV for a customer on Thursday & the only place I could get it was Currys ... guy says to me, "mate if that's any cheaper tomorrow, come back in & we'll give the difference back in cash".
So my attitude is ... if you need / want it (electrical item from PC World, Currys, Dixons group), then go ahead & buy it rather than waiting to Black Friday. If it's down then you'll get money back. If it's not, you bought the item you wanted to get rather than some "special" model priced & designed to get people through the door ... from what I was lead to believe, that particular store had hit their £800k target yesterday by 5pm lol0 -
I had been looking for a new television and had intended to buy from John Lewis Online as I have £100 credit with them but their offers weren't great, the two tellies I've been looking at weren't there. I'm waiting until the New Year sale to see if there are any offer I'd be interested in.0
