Advice please

Hi all,
I have recently come to the conclusion that the only way I can sort out my debt problem is to file for bankruptcy. My problem is that I owe money to that many different companies and I don't know where to find out what I actually owe and to whom. Could anybody give me any ideas as to where I can get this information before I start talking to a debt advisor.

You can check your credit reports which may give you an idea, but not all debts may be listed, especially if they defaulted a long time ago or are not the type that report to the CRAs.

All qualifying debts are legally covered by a bankruptcy whether you can remember them to list on the forms or not. Therefore, it's not a huge deal if you can't remember or list some, as when or if they do pop up they can just be added to the list.
