Hello , as Christmas is fast approaching the wife is hounding me for what he can buy me. I don't need/want anything so have racked my tiny mind for something and I think maybe make up brushes. I am mostly a scruff, always have been, not into make up as such , but sometimes it's nice to get a bit lippy on .
My current makeup brushes probably came out of a Christmas cracker so as a 38 year old girl I think it's high time I bought some half decent make up brushes for the rare occasion they'd be dusted down and used. Not after anything super fancy just something better. Bought a foundation brush from the Avon lady once but it felt like I was glossing a door !!
Any suggestions from those that know about the making up of faces would be much appreciated .
Much obliged

Have a look at Real Techniquesally.0

Wilkinsons have a range that look, similar to the real techniques brushes. Obvs not as soft, but good enough for an occasional make-up wearer and at about £1 a brush are way cheaper (but not so cheap they feel rough, or loose shape)0

Have a look at the B. range in Superdrug, they have gift sets of brushes at the moment for Christmas. My debt free diary

I got a great foundation brush in Home Bargains for 99p. I've washed it a few times too and the bristles are holding in there. I did have a good one from Wilkos for £2 that lasted ages, but they didn't have any left the last time I looked. Hence the trip to Home Bargains.
I would hate to pay a fortune for brushes then wash them and have them go bald on me.0 -
Real Techniques. They are available on Amazon much cheaper than in shops but are sold by RT themselves. They wash up perfectly. I've had mine years and they're still going strong.0

I'd go cheap but decent, and wilko seem to be doing well with their two collections. max £4 a brush.
My faces are the new Avon ones though!
I'd advise against RT myself. can't stand them and overpriced for what they are.0 -

I have some ecotools now and find them good. My concealer brush is now falling apart but that's after a long time and many, many washes. I've asked for new ones for Christmas also, so keep your fingers crossed! My debt free diary
